Eren's Path

Your eyes immediately drift to a dark violet color. “Hm…I think I want grape.”


Hanji squeals in excitement, clapping her hands as she announces “Eren, you lucky boy! Come over here and get your very sweet treat!”


Eren turns around, his turquoise eyes meeting yours in confusion as he makes his way to the desk, standing by your side. He looks over to Hanji and takes a grape popsicle out of the box. You move to grab one as well when she slaps your hand away. You give her a glare.


“(F/n), you and Eren only get one…to share. As in, together. Really close.” She grins wide as she takes in your embarrassed and slightly pissed expression, while Eren’s is just plain confused.


“Wait, why can’t she have one? There’s plenty-“


“Nope! You have to share. It’s a game.” Hanji cuts him off, yanking the box from you and hastily giving the boys the rest of their popsicles, rushing them out the door while singing, “Be sure to find someone to share that with, or there will be consequences!”


Eren nudges you with his shoulder, dropping his voice to a whisper. “Hey, (f/n). What the hell is she gonna make us do?”


You give out a sigh, whispering back. “She’s gonna try something really, really stupid.” Your cheeks take on a slight blush. “And intimate.”


Eren finally understands as he lets out a small “Oh” before shuffling awkwardly, his ears turning slightly red. Hanji returns shortly afterwards.


“Okie dokie, let’s get down to business. Eren, (f/n), the purpose of this game is…”She pauses, searching for a good excuse. She seems to find one. “Oh! To see how Eren reacts to intimate situations and if it does anything with his ability!” She seems proud of herself as she nods, pleased with her answer. You roll your eyes.


“Hanji, I’m pretty sure Eren doesn’t wanna do this bullshit-“


“No! Um, no. I wanna try this.” Eren stammers, looking at you and then looking away. Your eyes widen as a blush paints itself across your cheeks, your heart making a loud thump.


“Excellent! Now Eren, what I want you to do is to hold the popsicle between you two, and I want you both to start licking it. The goal is to see how far you can get, or to end up kissing each other. Go!”


Hanji quickly runs out the door and locks it from the outside, making any means of escape impossible. You curse under your breath as you look at Eren, shuffling your feet awkwardly like him.


“So…nice weather we’re having.” You say, cracking a grin. He chuckles, nervously scratching the back of his neck.


“Guess…guess we might as well start then.”


You gulp, letting a small nod. He sits down cross-legged on the floor, gesturing for you to sit in front of him. Once you situate yourself and your knees are touching each other, he lifts the popsicle up in between your faces.


“You ready?” He asks, giving you a small smile. Seeing how cute that smile is, you can feel the air from your lungs get tight. It was a miracle you ended up picking Eren’s flavor. You had liked him for a long, long time. And now you two were about to lick a popsicle together.


You groaned quietly at the thought. ‘Hanji I swear to the heavens above I will never organize your documents again.’  And then you leant forward, taking the first lick.


You shuddered as the cold and delicious juice from the treat trickled over your tongue, the sweetness of the grape caressing your tastebuds. It was probably the best thing you’ve ever tasted in the history of your life.


“Oh wow. That’s good,” You murmur, taking another slow lick.


Eren watches you, holding his breath as you take another taste of the popsicle held in his hand. His cheeks burst into a bright red hue as you gaze at him, your (e/c) eyes half-lidded while you tilt your head to the side. “Eren, why don’t you give it a try?”


He stares at the treat for a moment, then shrugs. He puts out his tongue and starts at the bottom, licking his way up to the top. He makes a small slurping sound as he tastes the flavor, his eyes closing in bliss.


“Wow.” Is all Eren can say.


You laugh at how cute he looks, his shoulders slumped with a small smile stretching on his lips. Taking the popsicle from him, you attempt to get up and run away with it, eating it as you go. Eren’s eyes shoot open as soon as he hears your footsteps echoing across the room, scrambling to get up and chase after you. “H-hey! We’re supposed to share!” His laugh mingles with yours as you chase each other around Hanji’s office.


Soon, you fail to swivel around Hanji’s desk quick enough and Eren catches you. He wraps his arms around your waist as he laughs, nuzzling his face in your hair.


“Hah, gotcha (f/n).”


He spins you around to face him as he snatches the popsicle from your grasp. Chuckling, you slap him lightly on the arm as he takes a bite from the top. “Jerk.” He laughs again.


Eren stares at you for a moment, his turquoise eyes appraising the features on your face. They drift down to your lips as a grin stretches across his own. Taking his other hand off your waist, he lifts it to the back of your head.


“I still wanna share, you know.”


Taking the hint, you grab onto the collar of his uniform and pull him forward, startling Eren by pushing your lips onto his own before he had the chance himself. A soft thud sounds as Eren drops the popsicle, using his newly freed hand to wrap around your torso. His lips have a slight grape-ish taste.


You pull away, smiling brightly as you lick your lips to get the rest of the grape. Eren laughs, pulling you closer to give you a hug. A few seconds pass before you groan.


“What’s up?” Eren pulls away, his eyebrows knitting in slight concern. You bury your face in his chest.


“Looks like I’ll be organizing Hanji’s stupid papers after all.”
