My Princess (ErenxReader) [AU]

“Eren, where are we going? I swear to God if you push me in a lake again I will-“


“Relax, sweetheart. Don’t you trust me?” A soft chuckle brushes against the girl’s ear.


“You little shit.” The girl mumbles, a small grin adorning her features.



The young man’s name is Eren Jaeger, and the beautiful young lady is his girlfriend. Tonight is the girl's birthday, and he has prepared a surprise for her.



Eren keeps a tight hold onto her shoulders, making sure she doesn’t trip over the uneven walkway. He’s careful to make sure she doesn’t shake off her blindfold as he leads her closer towards their destination.


“Eren?” She lifts a hand to cover one of Eren’s, giving a light squeeze.


“Yeah?” Eren smiles.


“I love you.” Her voice grows quiet, almost a whisper, as it is swelled with emotion and love.


Eren felt those same emotions swell up inside himself, biting his lip to keep from grabbing her in a death hug. God, he loved this girl so much. She was so perfect, from the way she laughed and simply brought happiness to everything. She was his own personal light, glowing and illuminating every moment of his life into something beautiful. Eren was grateful for the day this girl walked into his life, treasuring it. He hoped that tonight he could express this in his own words. He wanted to scoop her up in his arms and tell her right now. But for now, he had to get her to the special place he had worked hours on setting up for her birthday.


All he could do for now was to say, “I love you too.”

Soon enough, the small walkway had opened up into a wide clearing. Letting go of her shoulders, Eren stepped in front of her to remove her blindfold. When the cloth was removed, all she could see was Eren’s face as he smiled down at her.


“Are you ready?” His breath lightly tickled her nose, grabbing her hand to intertwine his fingers with hers.


“As ready as I’ll ever be.” She laughs, excitement and joy bubbling over in her tone. Eren’s smile grows wider at this sound.


Taking a deep breath, Eren squeezes her hand and turns slightly, extending his other hand to show her what he had prepared. Her breath hitched in surprise as she finally saw what he had been hiding.


“Happy birthday, princess.”


The clearing was an opening in a secluded forest, with hundreds of small and flowers creating a sea of color covering the ground. The surrounding trees were dotted with little twinkling lights, each looking like small stars illuminating the small space. In the center, a blanket is spread to accompany two people. It looked like something out of a Disney movie.


“Eren…” Her voice is filled with disbelief, her eyes wide and sparkling like the small stars. Her hand drops out of his as she takes a few tentive steps forward, bending down to touch the gently swaying flowers. “It’s beautiful.”


Eren’s heart thunders in his chest as he watches her reaction. Smiling, he takes her hand and leads her towards the blanket, sitting down and pulling her next to him. She lays her head on his shoulder, letting out a sigh.


“Eren, this is amazing. I can’t believe you did this for me.” Her voice is soft, almost afraid to break the quiet atmosphere.


“I’d do anything for you, babe. Hell, I’d slay some 50 foot monster if it meant I got to be with you.”


She laughs, imagining Eren facing a humongous beast. It was silly.


“I’m just so lucky I get to have you all to myself.” She turns to look Eren in the eyes, grabbing the sides of his face gently. “Thank you for making my birthday so special, Eren.”


“It wasn’t a problem. It’s worth it if I get to see you smile like that.” He bends down slightly to peck the tip of her nose. “You mean the world to me. I can’t describe how much I love you. I’m the lucky one for having such a beautiful and absolutely wondrous girlfriend. You rule my entire universe, princess.”


And as he reaches down to capture her lips in a sweet and loving kiss, the stars twinkled on, creating their own little universe.
